Another visual curiosity, designed by Dominique Duvivier in 2003 based on an effect by Edward Marlo. The magician cuts the deck into four piles, and the four Aces that have been previously set aside are clearly put down on top of each pile. The piles are stacked on top of each other to reform the deck... and the four aces rise to the top! To buy: - some regular cards click here. - an ordinary deck of cards click here.

Pierric's version of Slydini's "Knotted Silks". Two handkerchiefs are knotted together... and untie themselves, as if by magic! And that's even when the spectators are the ones tying the knots, and squeezing them as hard as they can! Very visual and very intriguing! A guaranteed success!

Here's an improved version of the "Perfect Choice - Benjamin Barnes, Duvivier" trick already published on this platform. A card is selected from a deck under laboratory conditions. The spectator immediately counts the cards: there are only 51 left... and it's his card that's missing, even though it was clearly visible in the deck the moment before! This card ends up among the Jokers that had been set aside at the start of the trick! And everything is handed out for examination. A real miracle! To buy an ordinary deck of cards click here.

The spectator chooses a card that no one, not even himself, looks at; this card is set aside. The spectator now cuts the deck wherever he wishes, and three piles of cards are formed from the cut half. The top card of each pile is shown; these are any three indifferent cards. These cards should give some indication of the spectator's card... but they don't! The spectator's card is displayed, and now the random cards have transformed to form a four of a kind with the spectator's card! To buy an ordinary deck of cards click here.

This trick will make you look like a math wizard! The audience gives you a SIX-digit number, which you write down on a notepad. Without hesitation, you then write three more numbers underneath, and ask a member of the audience to use the calculator on their smartphone to multiply these three numbers together... and of course, the result is the six-digit number given by the spectator! Easy to do, extremely intriguing! A guaranteed hit!

A card is selected from a blue-backed deck under laboratory conditions. A small pile had been set aside beforehand: there are the four blue-backed Queens, and four red-backed face-down cards: these are "Mystery" cards. The spectator freely chooses one of the Queens, which mysteriously turns face-down in the packet. The "Mystery" cards are spread out: there's now a face-up card: it's the Queen previously chosen by the spectator! And now, the incredible climax: the face-down card among the Queens is turned over: it's now the card previously chosen! And when the other three "Mystery" cards are shown, they form a four of a kind with the chosen card! To buy: - some regular cards click here. - an ordinary deck of cards click here.

This trick is a classic of card magic. It was created by Al Leech in 1950, and popularized by Frank Garcia under the name "Chicago Opener". The magician causes a freely-selected card to change its back color (say from red to blue), which is then tabled. The performer then claims to be able to repeat the effect and a second card is selected. This second attempt fails - no second blue card is found - but the performer makes good by turning over the first blue card and showing that it has now magically changed into the second selection. The magician displays a purse, opens it and takes out... another purse... which contains yet another purse! From this last purse, he takes out four Chinese coins, which he places in a row on the table. One of these coins is replaced in one of the purses (the other two have been put away); when he counts the coins on the table again, he has four of them! The process is repeated several times! The last time, he puts not one, but three coins in the purse... and despite this, he still has four and hands them out for examination!
