The spectator chooses a card under laboratory conditions and turns it face down in the middle of the deck, which is face up. The magician takes a second deck that had been set aside in full view of the audience before starting. A card is turned over in the deck... it is the same as the spectator's! A true miracle! The spectator shuffles the deck and then cuts to a card. The magician then chooses a card at random from the deck and the spectator’s card then changes into the mate of the magician’s card. This is the trick where the spectator does the trick himself (in appearance, of course!). He shuffles the deck, cuts it, freely chooses his card, reshuffles the deck after the card has been lost... and it is found at the number he has himself designated!
