A great classic of close-up magic. How to give the illusion of swallowing a knife! Easy to do, but very deceptive.  

The magician shows two cords. The spectator makes a double knot and tightens it to the maximum. In a fraction of a second, the cords are now separated, the double knot has mysteriously disappeared!  

Teleportation is moving instantly from one place to another. Ubiquity is being in two places at the same time. Dominique Duvivier proposes here a "ubiquitous teleportation" trip! PATEO Force (Pick Any Two, Eliminate One) is a method of forcing a particular object from a set of objects created by Roy Baker. It involves the spectator and magician in a rotating selecting and elimination process, leaving only one object from an unlimited number of objects.

The magician shows a small box from which he takes out a red-backed deck of cards; the box is now empty. A spectator is invited to hold the deck in one hand, and her other hand is held by the magician. The magician explains that he is going to transmit a magical effect through the spectator, into the deck of cards! The spectator will then determine a card in a "virtual" blue deck. This card will appear in real life, folded four times in the "Dream Box" which was empty. A very different prediction effect! Cards are rolled, up like little tubes and placed into a bottle... You shake the bottle to shuffle them well, then you have a number freely chosen. The cards are then taken out of the bottle one by one until you get to the chosen number and the card matches your prediction! Only one card comes out, no duplicate and an intriguing object: this magic bottle can rest on a shelf in the living room for example, ready to use. You'll tell me about it!

The real secret of the charges and appearances! You are on a big stage, in a parlour, or in a close up, surrounded by spectators. The music starts, the eyes are on you. It is then that four very large silks appear in your hands in a fast and fluid way. They are joined together and spread out in the air until the last second: they are empty. You dip your hand into the hearts of the silks and the object of the evening suddenly appears in your hands. The magician shows some banknotes. He explains that one side is the "heads" side of the bill, and the other is the "tails" side. He alternates the heads and tails of every other bill. Miracle! The bills all end up on the same side!
