The magician displays about 15 indifferent cards and asks a spectator to think of one of the "possible cards" in the packet. When the spectator names the card he has thought of, that it is impossible... because when the cards are displayed again, they are all the same, and different from the spectator's card, which he could not choose! This trick was first published in the book "Cartomagie Année 2001" by Dominique Duvivier in 1974. A card is freely thought in a group of cards. The deck is shuffled. The magician asks for the name of the card, and spells it out, putting one card per letter... the chosen card happens to be the one with the last letter! A real miracle!  

The deck is shuffled copiously by the spectator, and then he chooses a card under crazy conditions. However, this card is the mate of the one chosen by the magician (under the same laboratory conditions). And to top it off, it was even predicted in advance by the magician! A real punchy trick !  

The magician displays the Ace of Spades, which he sets aside on the table. He also has some blank faced cards. These cards will be printed one by one and turn into normal cards. And in the end, the Ace of Spades that was set aside has now turned blank!  

A card freely chosen among eight cards turns out to be the only foreign card in the packet, since it is clearly the only card with a different back!  

A "Triumph" on vitamins! A spectator chooses a card, the deck is shuffled with half the cards face up, and half face down. The magician first guesses the name of the card. Then, in a second step, he declares that he is going to put the deck back in its original order; indeed, when he spreads it out, all the cards are now face down... except for one mistake: the card chosen by the spectator is the only face up card! The climax is quite spectacular: when the deck is ribbon spread face up, it is really back in its original order... since the cards are now ordered from Ace to King and by suit! And the icing on the cake, the chosen card is in the right place!  

An interesting way to use the "Electric Deck" not just as a gag, as we usually do, but as a trick.  

The original version of one of Dominique Duvivier's "signature" tricks, which he came up with in the 70s. "I wanted to do a trick in which the spectators would be surprised visually, mentally, as much as possible, and as frequently as possible... a cascade of crazy, colorful, visual effects, where everything transforms to the fullest.” Don't miss it!  

A very nice trick, very effective: the presentation is humorous, you make your audience believe that you have failed, and the final revelation is all the more surprising. Success guaranteed!

Card technique: This technique looks like you've cut the deck when you've just transferred a card into the middle. This video complements another one previously published on this platform.

The magician shows a packet of about 15 cards that he has taken from his deck; the cards are naturally all different. When he ribbon spreads the packet face down, there is one card that has a red back, while the others are blue: it is the 8 of Clubs. The packet is shown face up: there are now only 8s of Clubs! You show the 10 of Diamonds, and place it face down on the table. Then you take the other three 10s, and put the deck aside. But these three cards are particularly weird because if you turn the 10 of Spades face down and spread this small packet again, there is only one card left face up; and what's more, a fourth card has just materialized in your hands! The 10 of Diamonds on the table turns first into the 10 of Spades, then instantly into the Ace of Spades! And the icing on the cake is that you no longer have the 10s, but a Royal Flush in Spades!
