Marc Bittar

Marc Bittar

Markobi, whose real name is Marc Bittar, was born in Lebanon and spent his teenage years there.

He was introduced to card magic as a child between the ages of 7 and 8 on a beach in Lebanon.

It was when he discovered a video on learning magic on a streaming platform that he really got hooked. He was eighteen / nineteen at the time.

He went on to study biology, graduating with a bachelor's degree.

He is essentially self-taught, but has been inspired by many magicians such as David Copperfield, Dominique Duvivier, David Stone, Lennart Green, Derek Dingle, David Williamson, Ricky Jay, Larry Jennings...

He also draws inspiration from other arts and fields, such as literature, sport, cuisine, music, film, stand-up comedy...

The Spanish school was a great help in his development, particularly when he attended a master class with Dani DaOrtiz.

He was awarded 3rd prize in Card Magic FFAP 2021 (French Magic Championship).

At FISM (the Olympics of Magic) in 2022, he won the title of World Magic Champion in Card Magic, becoming the second Frenchman in history to win this title.

In 2023, he finished 3rd in the TV show “France’s Got Talent”.

The street and passers-by have long been his school. For a good ten years, he roamed the bars and other public places.

He now works professionally in events management and is a hit on stage at Le Double Fond: "A dizzying and unprecedented show". Télérama (TTTT)

An atypical character, sometimes unpredictable, sometimes endearing, he experiences his magic at the same time as his audience, with a casualness and a certain nonchalance. In his own words, his character embodies "a form of freedom. "I make people laugh because I don't fit into any framework. People don't know whether my blunders are calculated or unexpected. I like to see them happy, to fool them. I love improvisation. Repeating the same act would bore me. I experience magic as a conversation".
