Steve Beam
Steve Beam started magic at the age of 11. After a career in finance in Northern California, he began working part-time as a magician in 1977 specializing in close-up, cards and comedy. Today Beam is best known for his creations and studies in "Semi-Automatic Magic". He has created over a thousand magic effects and has reinvented thousands more.
He has lectured throughout North America and Europe. In addition to publishing "The Trapdoor" for 15 years (1983-1998), he has written 12 volumes of his famous "Semi-Automatic Card Tricks" book series and has published numerous articles in magazines around the world.
