Yannick Chretien

It was with a close-up act involving the manipulation of cards and coins that Yannick Chretien won 1st prize at the French Magic Championships organised by the Fédération Française des Artistes Prestidigitateurs. From then on, his passion led him to study all the classics of card magic in an attempt to optimize their effects while simplifying the method. His personal version of Larry Jennings' 'Open Travellers’ is recognized as a model of simplification, and his version of 'Retro/Repro' was even quoted and published in the famous American monthly Magic Magazine. With a successful career in digital services, Yannick Chretien likes to think of himself more as an enthusiast than a professional magician. He gives lectures for magicians, notably on creativity and the art of arousing emotion by presenting magical effects of his own creation. In the corporate world, he works on themes linked to leadership and innovation, using magic as a common thread.
