Card Techniques: Dominique Duvivier explains two different false cuts shown to him by Frank Garcia "The Man With The Million Dollar Hands" in the 70's/80's: 1- False cut in 3 packets 2- False cut in 2 packets In both cases, the deck seems to be cut, but it remains in its original order at the end of the move.  

Card Techniques: Two methods to control a card are described here. Both techniques are easy to do, but are very effective.  

You are the magician of the evening, your spectators are sitting very tightly around the table and surround you... HARD FOR THE ANGLES OF VIEW! This coin routine is nice for this situation. You will produce several coins one at a time with a white, almost transparent silk. It's a great way to introduce yourself. Three ropes of different length change size, and become identical... then return to their original size. Everything can be examined at the beginning and at the end. Card technique: It is absolutely necessary to master this move which will have a great effect on your audience. Your skill will amaze them.  

"Do me a favor"... or how to get the spectator to hold the deck in his own hands, while unbeknownst to him, a card is very slightly outjogged from the deck, allowing you to keep control of it when you retrieve the deck. This card will obviously be the one he has chosen, and put back in the center of the deck! A diabolical tip that is really useful, and that will allow you to completely baffle your fellow card magicians!  

Card Technique: This pass is performed under the guise of turning the deck face up and spreading it quickly between your hands, to "show" that the chosen card you just placed in the center of the deck is lost.  

Card Technique: First published in the book "Duvivier Magic", published by Kaufman & Greenberg in 1996. The special thing about this double lift is that you spin the double card in the air, as if it were doing multiple somersaults, thus removing any suspicion of cheating. This is an extremely effective way to do it!  

The plot of "Coins through the Table" is one of the great families of effects in coin magic. Dominique Duvivier offers you his personal version to perform this wonderful routine.  

Card Technique: This John Cornelius' flourish allows you to turn a card face up nicely by flipping it in the air. It has been adapted by Dominique Duvivier to perform an extremely deceptive double lift (see the "Double Cornelius Duvivier" video).

Originally a flourish by John Cornelius (which is described in detail in the video "Cornelius Turnover"), it allows you to turn a card face up nicely by throwing it in the air. Dominique Duvivier has adapted this technique to perform a double lift. This way of doing things is extremely deceptive!  

Card technique: This false shuffle allows the deck to appear to be perfectly shuffled, while the cards remain in the same order at the beginning and at the end. This false shuffle is extremely convincing. Dominique Duvivier gives an application of this false shuffle: it is a "Triumph" where the cards are shuffled face up, face down, and at the end, all the cards magically come back face down except for the previously chosen card which is the only face up card.  

Card technique: Another of Dominique Duvivier's methods for twirling a double card in the air, removing any suspicion of cheating. This method is extremely effective!  

An exercise in style inspired by Frank Garcia to Dominique Duvivier: The four Aces are lost in the deck and found one by one after a whole series of shuffles.  

Card technique: To give the illusion that the deck is shuffled with an overhand shuffle, but it remains in its starting order. Very convincing!
