A selected card is lost in the deck and then found in completely impossible conditions! The spectator randomly takes a group of cards from the middle of a deck of cards. He secretly counts the number of cards selected (for example, five) and then places them on top of the deck, while looking at the fifth card. To lose the magician completely, he shuffles everything again. Yet the magician manages to find the card that the spectator has secretly looked at! An incredible method. See for yourself!  

Something to have at your fingertips! This technique of Arturo Di Ascanio is an indispensable part of the magician's knowledge. Here is the principle: you show four red cards and, when you want, you can make a black card appear!  

You take out a black 7 and a black 9 and clearly lose them in the middle of the deck. Then with a simple magic gesture you find them in a flash.  

The magician takes out nine cards: three jacks, three queens and three kings and alternates them, jack, queen and king. They are put back on the deck. With a wave of the magic wand, the couples are instantly separate: all the jacks are reunited, all the queens and all the kings. It's amazing!

You will see… The DRUNKARD POKER is a great classic for magicians who are in their forties today, and more... The original trick was published if I remember correctly by LES CAHIERS DE LA MAGIE in the 60s. I don't know to whom we owe the idea and the basic routine of this wonderful classic. I obviously used this base to make something a little different. Those who know the original will surely enjoy this new version created by me in April 90. For a long time, I let this little routine (jealously kept secret by the magic intelligentsia) "sleep". A first draft came to me in 1977, but it was of little interest. In 1983, I reworked on a concept requiring the idea of the DRUNKARD POKER. These 2 versions 77 and 83 allowed me to arrive at The Drunkard poker as it has remained since.
