The basic effect: The spectator and the magician each think of a card and these two cards end up side by side in the deck of cards. The magician explains that when he goes to a casino, he “steals” one of the cards and gives it a casino rating from A to Z, which he has marked on the back of each card. He shows that he has a dozen cards, which are thoroughly shuffled face up and face down, both by himself and by a spectator. You borrow a ring and a shoelace, the most ordinary. You announce that you will be able to put the ring on the lace, without the ends leaving the viewer's sight... A scarf is placed over the middle of the lace and the ring. The magician goes under the scarf, without the ends moving. And unbelievable: the ring is tied on the shoelace! In the magician's arsenal, it is very practical to be able to "force" a spectator to take the card you want. Here is one possibility!  

Two thieves share a loot of seven ordinary coins. But the sharing won't be fair, because one bandit is more of a thief than the other! A nice little story to tell, while bluffing your spectators!  

A selected card is lost in the deck and then found in completely impossible conditions! The spectator randomly takes a group of cards from the middle of a deck of cards. He secretly counts the number of cards selected (for example, five) and then places them on top of the deck, while looking at the fifth card. To lose the magician completely, he shuffles everything again. Yet the magician manages to find the card that the spectator has secretly looked at! An incredible method. See for yourself!  

Something to have at your fingertips! This technique of Arturo Di Ascanio is an indispensable part of the magician's knowledge. Here is the principle: you show four red cards and, when you want, you can make a black card appear!  

You take out a black 7 and a black 9 and clearly lose them in the middle of the deck. Then with a simple magic gesture you find them in a flash.
