PARLOUR / STAGE

An interlude of parlour and stage magic. This is one of my favorite visual magic sequences. A candle appears and disappears twice with great naturalness and simplicity. The second time this candle turns into a clown's nose. Natural Tenkai palm, misdirection and timing theory explained in great detail with wise comments by Dominique Duvivier.

One coin, a multitude of miracles!

David Stone's elegance, precision, and unique touch give incomparable purity to the effects of this coin routine. David Stone has done us the honor and generosity to explain for Double Fond TV an impressive number of techniques (some of which are personal to him) and others coming from the greatest magicians specialized in the manipulation of the coins.

A privilege not to be missed!

This category is for those who have never made balloon sculptures before. We recommend that you follow the videos in order, the first ones having for purpose to teach you the basic techniques, which are implemented in the sculptures described next. Most of these sculptures only require 260 balloons. If necessary, you will find explanatory videos of the techniques used in the dedicated section. You will be able to read the techniques used below the videos.

The perfect combination of a Book Test and a card trick! The effect, as well as the techniques used, are subtly combined to create a beautiful routine! And it's very easy to do. So there's no more hesitation!

Discover how a side steal can become an ultra-natural control and allow spectacular revelation of four cards. With this sequence you will be able to involve large groups of people around you and perform standing routines for large tables. This sequence is also perfectly suited in cocktail situations where spectators cannot take the cards in their hands. Everything is visual, fast and very impactful in this routine, where two revelations of four selected cards are revealed to you, while taking into account your technical skills. Real pro card magic, the result of 20 years of experience in event management!

This sculpture is based on a lion by Shirley Ray, which was probably inspired by the one described by Ralph Dewey in Dewey's new balloon animals (1976), and whose proportions I modestly and simply modified. The necessary balloons : - 1 balloon 260 The techniques used : - "Pinch twist": described by Roger Siegel in Roger's rubber Jungle, 1973 (?)

The use of the 160 makes it possible to combine the two characteristics of the kangaroo that are generally found dissociated on the different versions with a single balloon 260, namely the boxing gloves and the baby in the pocket . The balloons needed: - 1 orange or brown 160 balloon. The techniques used: - "Bird body": probably invented by Ralph Dewey? - Pinch/ear twist": described by Roger Siegel in Roger's rubber Jungle, 1973 (?) - "Split pinch twist".

The real secret of the charges and appearances! You are on a big stage, in a parlour, or in a close up, surrounded by spectators. The music starts, the eyes are on you. It is then that four very large silks appear in your hands in a fast and fluid way. They are joined together and spread out in the air until the last second: they are empty. You dip your hand into the hearts of the silks and the object of the evening suddenly appears in your hands. This effect can be achieved with or without a partner and was created primarily for the solo performer. You only have access to the performance videos. Something very organic and that can be improvised: you spades an apple on a knife and you bite into it... From there, the "bite" will visually travel to another apple, multiply, disappear again etc... It's like the "Snowshoes at the points" trick, but can be done on stage... It's very visual and children especially love it!

A new way to make canes appear on stage. This video contains professional principles: to hide the canes on oneself, to perform an invisible charge, to blend technique and gestures. These principles are also applicable to objects other than canes!

An atypical and very festive trick! My first inspiration for this trick comes from a great trick called "La savonnette", but which used a gaffed card and didn't end up very clean at the end... I thought about it for a while and I finally found this version, which not only allows you to create a very fun moment with your audience, but which is also quite tricky: the deck is shuffled at the beginning by the spectator, there is no duplicate, the elimination is progressive and very visual... In short, a beautiful baby! Have fun!

The divine "Professor" Dai Vernon explained this trick, quite a while ago, using hats... I have modified it a little to make it easier to set it up, while keeping the essence of the trick. It's so clever! The cards chosen are never manipulated by you. The trick is beautiful. Bravo Professor!

When I was a teenager, the Mayette boutique sold a trick called "Céperlé": colored beads, shuffled in glasses, were magically separated by color. It was magical!

I pushed the idea a bit further with everyday objects: a drink and ice cubes!

You shuffle the ice cubes and the whisky (or apple juice) in two transparent cups and, with a single magic gesture, in front of everyone, you separate the cups: one ends up with all the liquid and the other with the ice cubes? Super powerful effect! Our friend Eric Antoine has even adopted the trick...

An inescapable and extremely baffling classic! I provide you with different variations, from the most complicated to the simplest. And yes, it can be simple! And as you'll see, it's a lot of fun to do.
