Story:
This balloon sculpture will allow you to discover one of the bases used to make animal heads (here, the "bear" base), as well as the "pinch twist", a small bubble which is used quite often and is very important. Balloons needed: - One 260 balloon; optional: three 160 (or 260) balloons or one heart balloon. The techniques used: - The "bear" base for the head - “Pinch/ear twist”: first described by Roger Siegel in Roger's rubber Jungle, 1973 (?) - “Apple/tulip twist”: created by Henry Maar in 1931 and first described in Don Alan's Rubber circus, 1958. The idea of the tulip bouquet in the bear's paws is described in "Double Decker" by Michael Decker, 1995. To buy “Modeling Balloons” click here.
