For Larry Jennings, it's one of the best close-up tricks ever. The magician undoes the cellophane wrapping around his cigarette pack before the audience's very eyes. The spectator holds out his hand palm-down, and under his hand, he feels the cellophane move, and the cellophane is then shown to be restored! Easy to do. An incredible miracle!

Larry Jennings is interviewed by Gaetan Bloom and recalls his exchanges with his mentor Dai Vernon. Not to be missed!  

In an interview, Larry Jennings is asked what he thinks is the most impressive trick in Dai Vernon’s repertoire, of whom he was one of the closest friends. Larry Jennings cites and demonstrates this effect, which is a hell of a Tsunami; but he doesn't explain it! Tsunami is a Japanese word that means "tidal wave". It is a trick that will devastate the brains of your audience, whether they are laymen or magicians. The spectator chooses a card, and loses it under extreme laboratory conditions. Despite this, the magician finds the chosen card!  

Larry Jennings proposes to show us a paradox of time! He places four cards (without showing them) in four different pockets. He has a spectator name a four of a kind (for example the 5s), which he takes out of the deck, only to reintroduce them in very different places in the deck. The magician borrows the spectator's handkerchief. He displays a safety pin, which is handed out for examination, and pins it to the handkerchief. The pin magically moves from one part of the cloth to another, creating an amazing effect. A second method allows you to mysteriously release the safety pin from the handkerchief. A classic piece of card magic. The four Aces are set aside. One card is freely chosen, and lost in the deck. One of the Aces mysteriously turns up face-down among the other face-up cards: it's the Ace of the suit of the chosen card! The magician shows two small packet of four cards; on one side there are four red cards, and on the other side four black cards. He then swaps a single card from each pack into the other: and mysteriously, as oil and water can't mix, all the black cards are together again, along with the red cards!
