Alexandra Duvivier interviews Mikael Szanyiel. In this informal chat, Mikael Szanyiel shares his experiences in magic. This interview is in four parts. Not to be missed!

Unexpected appearance of four coins between two playing cards that are constantly shown on both sides. Killer! (with explanations of “Deposit on Reversal”, "How to slip coins under cards" and “The Pick up Switch”) To buy: - some half-dollar coins click here. - a regular deck of cards click here.

Dominique Duvivier demonstrates a new Eddy Taytelbaum wonder (no explanation). The magician guesses the number thought of by a spectator. The illusion is devilishly intriguing. As usual, the props is superbly manufactured.

The famous “Chink a Chink” in a very impressive version. (with explanation of the “Loupi’s Table Turnaround” and the “Olram Subtlety with Coins”) To buy: - some half-dollar coins click here. - a double side coin Penny/Half-dollar click here.

Boris Wild shares his inspirations with us, particularly with regard to books, both in the field of magic and in other arts.

Dominique Duvivier explains a simple but effective method for learning the identity of a card chosen under laboratory conditions, then how to control it and finally reveal it, even though the spectator has checked the deck and shuffled it before and after choosing the card. Without a doubt the most complex routine in David Stone's “The Magic of Coins” program, but above all the most astonishing because it uses jumbo coins. The routine is indescribable: it is a sequence of effects, each more magical than the last, in a concert of subtleties and misdirections leading up to the final climax. (with explanation of "The Rhod Chic Production", "The Goshman Pinch" , the "Dr Roberts' Sleeving Method", the "Holds used in Jumbo Coins Sleights", the "Method for Vanishing Jumbe Coins", "The Jumbo Shuttle Pass", the "Jumbo WipedClean") To buy:  - some half-dollar coins click here. - some Jumbo coins click here.

Boris Wild shares his thoughts on creativity in the field of magic. He emphasizes three aspects in particular: method, effect, and a new presentation. He then goes on to discuss various complementary elements that have enabled him to develop his highly personal style of magic.

To make the four Aces appear in the wink of an eye! This variation, discovered by Dominique Duvivier in 1998, allows several random cards to be shown before performing the effect. Hyper flash, hyper effective! To buy an ordinary deck of cards click here.

The deck is handed out for examination to the spectator, who shuffles and cuts it. A card is selected by the spectator under laboratory conditions. This card has been predicted in advance by the magician! To buy an ordinary deck of cards click here.

The magician shows a few playing cards and says that they are recycled parchments by Leonardo da Vinci. And he proves it, because instantly, all the playing cards turn into parchments on both sides! An original plot with an extremely visual effect! To buy some repositionable adhesive dots click here.

Boris Wild explains how he designed his marked deck and how you can mark your own deck yourself. This video is included in the VHS program “Les Etoiles de la Magie Moderne: Boris Wild” (Stars of Modern Magic: Boris Wild), published by Mayette Magie in 1997. A prediction deck is handed to a first spectator beforehand. The magician now writes a prediction on a piece of cardboard. In another deck, a second spectator chooses a card. The magician shows his prediction... he has written a number, for example 38. The prediction deck is now taken out, and  38 cards are counted... the last one turns out to be the spectator's card! This trick is included in the VHS program “Les Etoiles de la Magie Moderne: Boris Wild” (Stars of Modern Magic: Boris Wild), published by Mayette Magie in 1997. The magician and the spectator perform exactly the same actions with the banknotes they are holding in their hands. When they each unfold their notes, the magician's has changed from €20 to €100!

This trick is included in the VHS program “Les Etoiles de la Magie Moderne: Boris Wild” (Stars of Modern Magic: Boris Wild), published by Mayette Magie in 1997. The spectator shuffles the deck and then cuts to a card. The magician then chooses a card at random from the deck and the spectator’s card then changes into the mate of the magician’s card. At the end, the spectator's card ends up mysteriously sandwiched between the two mates! To buy a Boris Wild Marked Deck (Phoenix Edition) click here.

This is the trick where the spectator does the trick himself (in appearance, of course!). He shuffles the deck, cuts it, freely chooses his card, reshuffles the deck after the card has been lost... and it is found at the number he has himself designated! Boris Wild also gives us several variations for revealing the chosen card!
