A crazy Triumph. The cards are clearly shuffled face up, face down. Once the deck is squared, the magician shows that it is clear that the cards are mixed face up / face down. And yet, in less time than it takes to say it, all the cards come back in the same direction. Impact guaranteed!  

The Moment: Part 2. Howard Hamburg shares another special moment he had one night at the Magic Castle at Dai Vernon's table, this time with Jimmy Grippo. The discussion was about "The Card in the Wallet" vs "The Card in the Sealed Envelope." High level considerations by great masters of magic!  

The spectator chooses a card that no one, not even him, looks at; this card is set aside. The spectator now cuts the deck where he wants, and three piles of cards are made up from the cut half. The top card of each pile is shown, these cards are for example three Kings. These cards clearly indicate that the starting card is the fourth King, but when it is turned face up... it is in fact an Ace! No matter, the magician transforms the cards on the table, and we now have a magnificent four a kind in Aces!  

Card Techniques: Dominique Duvivier explains two different false cuts shown to him by Frank Garcia "The Man With The Million Dollar Hands" in the 70's/80's: 1- False cut in 3 packets 2- False cut in 2 packets In both cases, the deck seems to be cut, but it remains in its original order at the end of the move.

You are the magician of the evening, your spectators are sitting very tightly around the table and surround you... HARD FOR THE ANGLES OF VIEW! This coin routine is nice for this situation. You will produce several coins one at a time with a white, almost transparent silk. It's a great way to introduce yourself. As a bonus, Jean-Pierre explains how you can make the coins you have produced disappear with this same silk.  

The spectator shuffles the deck, picks a card, loses it by himself into the deck, and immediately shuffles the deck again. He performs all these actions while the magician's back is turned. Despite these extreme laboratory conditions, the magician not only finds the chosen card, but also shows that he had predicted it in advance. Easy to do.

The magician displays the two red Kings from the deck and explains that they are "Ghost Cards". He will prove it in various ways during the routine since one of the Kings will "disintegrate", the chosen cards will transform, materialize, dematerialize... A maelstrom of effects that will make your spectators dizzy, all this with a regular deck that can be borrowed!

Three ropes of different length change size, and become identical... then return to their original size. Everything can be examined at the beginning and at the end. This is one of the greatest classics of magic. You can perform the trick in all conditions: close-up, parlour and stage. Success guaranteed! "Do me a favor"... or how to get the spectator to hold the deck in his own hands, while unbeknownst to him, a card is very slightly outjogged from the deck, allowing you to keep control of it when you retrieve the deck. This card will obviously be the one he has chosen, and put back in the center of the deck! A diabolical tip that is really useful, and that will allow you to completely baffle your fellow card magicians!  

A great classic of card magic... An extremely effective trick, which requires a minimum of sleight of hand. The back of a freely chosen card changes color... and its face turns into the card chosen by another spectator. A real miracle!  

Card Technique: This pass is performed under the guise of turning the deck face up and spreading it quickly between your hands, to "show" that the chosen card you just placed in the center of the deck is lost.
