The magician displays his deck of cards, and eight rather special cards: four of them are blank-faced, and on the face of each of the other four ones, a bumblebee is drawn. One by one, the bumblebees change places with the blank cards, and at the end, the magician strikes the packet of bumblebees... which all end up crushed! The icing on the cake: all the cards in the deck are now shown, and they're all crushed bumblebees! Everything is handed out for examination.  

It's an incredible Three Card Monte, as the 3 cards are each isolated in a holder, making sleight of hand impossible. And yet, the spectator always loses! To buy the trick click here.  

Dominique Duvivier demonstrates a new Eddy Taytelbaum wonder (no explanation). Three small ivory-coloured discs are isolated in a box with three other small gold-coloured discs; the colors are well separated… and yet, in a fraction of a second, the colors mysteriously alternate!  

The magician shows four cards: the Ace, 2, 3 and 4 of Diamonds. He places the Ace under this small packet and, in a very quick magical gesture, brings it back to the top. The effect is repeated... and in the end, the Ace transforms from Diamonds to Spades! And to top it all off, the cards are transformed into a four of a kind in of Aces! Guaranteed success! It's the story of a drunk who wants to play poker. Being drunk as a skunk, he shuffles the cards face up and face down. Pretty bad start... but it ends very, very well! You will see… The DRUNKARD POKER is a great classic for magicians who are in their forties today, and more... The original trick was published if I remember correctly by LES CAHIERS DE LA MAGIE in the 60s. I don't know to whom we owe the idea and the basic routine of this wonderful classic. I obviously used this base to make something a little different. Those who know the original will surely enjoy this new version created by me in April 90. For a long time, I let this little routine (jealously kept secret by the magic intelligentsia) "sleep". A first draft came to me in 1977, but it was of little interest. In 1983, I reworked on a concept requiring the idea of the DRUNKARD POKER. These 2 versions 77 and 83 allowed me to arrive at The Drunkard poker as it has remained since.  

One of Dominique Duvivier's favourite techniques. It looks like a simple flourish, while it keeps the deck in order. Very effective!  

This technique allows an incredible number of applications. Please note that this has nothing to do with the Cop Move. It's even better!  

Two red kings turn into three selected cards... Fast, efficient and very baffling!
