A card is chosen, and lost in the deck. The pack is wrapped with a rubber band... and still, the chosen card pops out of the deck! To buy a regular deck of cards click here.  

The magician sets one card aside, saying that “this card doesn't exist... or almost doesn't”. Then he displays two small packets, saying that he has foreseen in advance what the spectator will choose; the spectator points to one packet, and the magician shows that it is made up of a four of a kind in sevens... but the other packet is made up of 7 cards! He reunites the packets, and there are now only 8 cards: the four sevens... and four Aces! He then adds the card that doesn't exist... and indeed, it disappears! A red card is set aside. In a blue-backed deck, a card is chosen by a spectator under laboratory conditions... and when the prediction card is shown... it's the same card! A real killer! Dominique Duvivier demonstrates a new Eddy Taytelbaum wonder (no explanation). A miniature temple contains six blocks of different colors. A spectator freely chooses two colors. The blocks are enclosed in the “pagoda”, and blocked by a stick. Despite these impossible conditions, the two chosen blocks mysteriously escape from the temple. Everything handed for examination before and after the trick! Another jewel of craftsmanship!  

The magician shows two blank cards, on which are handwritten the names of two cards: 5 of Diamonds and 6 of Clubs; this constitutes a kind of "Open Prediction" with two cards. One card from the deck is chosen by the spectator. It's face down, and nobody knows it yet. The magician gives himself 4 possibilities of having predicted the chosen card with his two prediction cards: it could therefore be a 5 or a 6 for value, and Diamonds or Clubs for suit. The chosen card is turned over: nothing to see, since it's the 4 of Hearts! The magician is dismayed, and turns over the two written cards on the table: they are both 4 de Hearts! An ace assembly routine that is a bit peculiar, since aces end up returning to their original place.

A card literally disintegrates from the deck to return to an impossible place... And, in the end, the whole deck is transformed!  

More than impossible: inconceivable. Look at this approach, you'll like it.  

Four cards chosen by the spectator mysteriously appear in the magician's wallet. And it's not over yet: the journeys multiply!  

It's the story of a drunk who wants to play poker. Being drunk as a skunk, he shuffles the cards face up and face down. Pretty bad start... but it ends very, very well! You will see… The DRUNKARD POKER is a great classic for magicians who are in their forties today, and more... The original trick was published if I remember correctly by LES CAHIERS DE LA MAGIE in the 60s. I don't know to whom we owe the idea and the basic routine of this wonderful classic. I obviously used this base to make something a little different. Those who know the original will surely enjoy this new version created by me in April 90. For a long time, I let this little routine (jealously kept secret by the magic intelligentsia) "sleep". A first draft came to me in 1977, but it was of little interest. In 1983, I reworked on a concept requiring the idea of the DRUNKARD POKER. These 2 versions 77 and 83 allowed me to arrive at The Drunkard poker as it has remained since.  

One of Dominique Duvivier's favourite techniques. It looks like a simple flourish, while it keeps the deck in order. Very effective!  

This technique allows an incredible number of applications. Please note that this has nothing to do with the Cop Move. It's even better!
