Dominique Duvivier demonstrates a new Eddy Taytelbaum wonder (no explanation). A spectator locks a die in a box, without knowing which is the top face. A prediction that had previously been placed in plain sight is shown: it is indeed the face of the die that has been predicted! Another jewel of craftsmanship!

The magician then counts the cards one by one from the 5, and the fifth one turns out to be... the chosen card. And as the icing on the cake, the magician shows that he couldn't have done it any other way, since the other cards in the deck are shown: they're all blank! Dominique Duvivier invites you to play a rather unusual "Three Card Monte". He displays four cards, an Ace of Diamonds and three blank cards. The Ace is the winning card, but it's not where it's supposed to be, and in the end we clearly have the opposite, i.e. three Aces of Diamonds and just one blank card! You will see… The DRUNKARD POKER is a great classic for magicians who are in their forties today, and more... The original trick was published if I remember correctly by LES CAHIERS DE LA MAGIE in the 60s. I don't know to whom we owe the idea and the basic routine of this wonderful classic. I obviously used this base to make something a little different. Those who know the original will surely enjoy this new version created by me in April 90. For a long time, I let this little routine (jealously kept secret by the magic intelligentsia) "sleep". A first draft came to me in 1977, but it was of little interest. In 1983, I reworked on a concept requiring the idea of the DRUNKARD POKER. These 2 versions 77 and 83 allowed me to arrive at The Drunkard poker as it has remained since.
