The magician shows a blue deck and sets it aside : this is the prediction deck. He now displays a red deck, shows that the cards are all different, and a spectator FREELY choose one card. He then takes the blue deck out of its case, and ribbon spreads it on the table: there is a red-backed card among the blue-backed cards... and that card is the same as the chosen card ! Leonardo da Vinci was a painter, inventor, engineer, scientist, humanist, philosopher... he was a universal mind. He was also a visionary. He was an inventor too far ahead of his time for his projects to be realized; he nevertheless recorded them on parchments. Among his more confidential inventions are... playing cards! You are clearly showing front and back cards representing reproductions of secret parchments drawn by Leonardo da Vinci. All these parchments instantly turn into real playing cards, front and back! But this invention remained a secret... that's why these playing cards instantly turn back into parchments!

"Nervous Breakdown" is one of Dominique Duvivier's bestsellers: The spectator has a free choice from among the four kings, and it is shown that this king was predicted in advance. The pitch of the trick is the same, but here the choice is not just from among four cards, but from the whole deck. Yes, the spectator chooses a card freely from among the 52 cards in the deck, and this card was clearly predicted in advance! Success guaranteed!

The deck is shuffled beforehand by a spectator. A card is placed face down on the table: this is the prediction card. Three piles of cards are freely determined by the spectator. The top card of the first packet is turned over: it is, for example, a 4; the prediction card is shown: it is also a 4! And that's precisely how many spectators there are in your audience! The first cards of the two other piles are turned over: these are the two missing 4s! You have understood that if you had a different number of spectators, for example eight, you would get a four of a kind with 8s. Success guaranteed! This very old effect has been revisited by Gaetan Bloom. The basic "recipe" of Al Baker's trick has been enhanced with a little extra "Bloom Touch" that gives it such a special taste! A pie tin is blackened with soot. A mysterious inscription appears in this soot... it's the name of the card that has been chosen beforehand by a spectator!  

These recordings are personal videos from Dominique Duvivier recorded in January 1991, in which he records various tricks such as "Coins through the table", "Faroleros", "Follow the Leader", "Follow the Leader Back to Back", etc... Isaac Newton has to be careful! Here, it is a pear which is used, for an effect of making a solid go through another solid... in impossible conditions! A nice tribute to the great magician Stewart James, with Gaetan’s “Bloom Touch”!  

This trick is a close-up classic. A handkerchief is threaded onto a length of sewing thread. This thread is stretched in front of the magician, one end is held by his foot, and the other by his hand. The silk, placed on top, slides along the thread, but inexplicably obeys the magician's orders: it falls or stops at will! Gaetan Bloom started from the classical process, and applied his "Bloom Touch", which allows you to hand the props out for examination!  

This trick is a variation of "The Mystery Card" already described on this platform. Cards are successively selected from a red-backed deck. The magician shows that in his deck, there is a special card, the "Mystery Card", which has the particularity of being the only blue-backed card. The chosen cards and the "Mystery Card" will transform, transpose and mimic each other in a diabolical ballet! A card is freely chosen (for example the King of Clubs). The magician randomly takes out about ten cards, shows them - any cards -, and sets them aside face down on the table. The chosen card is placed with the cards that have been set aside, but returns to the deck. The same effect is repeated several times... and the magician shows that now all the cards he has in his hands are Kings of Clubs! In the end, all the cards he has in his hands become different again, and when he shows the random cards he had set aside, they are transformed into the whole sequence from Ace to King of Spades! "Business Card" is one of the great classics of card magic. The pitch is as follows: The magician shows a piece of paper folded in four that he places in side view on the table: this is his prediction. A deck of cards is shuffled. The deck is ribbon spread face down on the table and a spectator places a business card where he wants it (no force). The two cards on either side of the business card are shown; the prediction is opened: both cards are written on it! A "magic" way to hand out your business card !
