Something to have at your fingertips! This technique of Arturo Di Ascanio is an indispensable part of the magician's knowledge. Here is the principle: you show four red cards and, when you want, you can make a black card appear!  

A must. This very versatile technique will allow you to create your own effects. It allows you to show eight cards when you only have four.  

The spectator chooses a card under laboratory conditions and turns it face down in the middle of the deck, which is face up. The magician takes a second deck that had been set aside in full view of the audience before starting. A card is turned over in the deck... it is the same as the spectator's! A true miracle! Basic Technique: How to hold the deck in such a way that you can control it perfectly. This technique is complementary to the Biddle grip, which explains how to hold the deck with the other hand.

The magician holds a four of a kind in Aces in his hands. The cards magically turn face up one by one at first, then all together in a second step. Then the Ace of Spades disappears and reappears. It is then shown that the four Aces now each have a different back! Everything is handed out for examination.  

A card is chosen and lost. The magician takes out several groups of five cards. The spectator indicates which group contains their card. He clearly shows that he has five cards in his hand, then just as clearly makes one disappear... which happens to be the spectator's card! The card is found face up in the deck! Basically, “Hand Mucking” is a gambler's technique for secretly exchanging one or more cards during a card game. Applied to card magic, these techniques allow you to magically transform one card (or several) into another (or several others). To buy a regular deck of cards click here.  

The magician explains that when he goes to a casino, he “steals” one of the cards and gives it a casino rating from A to Z, which he has marked on the back of each card. He shows that he has a dozen cards, which are thoroughly shuffled face up and face down, both by himself and by a spectator.
